LENE MacLeod currently lives in Ontario, Canada and has been writing off and on since the early 1980s. Many other responsibilities took a front seat, but writing and creating art never stopped, even when they paused.
She writes mostly horror and strange dark fiction, with occasional forays into other speculative genres. Her writing tends to be literary turns dark and supernatural or psychological, for the most part; quiet horror and dark fiction.
As M.M. MacLeod she edits FROST ZONE STORIES , a biannual series of literary/quiet horror and dark fiction featuring other authors, and previous publications: Handmade Horror Stories, six issues of Frost Zone Zine , and the anthology Ghost to Ghost to Ghost - haunting tales from Canada.
